When compared to the cost of sports and many other youth activities, there is no doubt that Scouting delivers great value to its members. Here's what your investment in Scouting with our unit looks like:
$263 per New Cub Scout
- $25 One-Time New Member Joining Fee, paid directly to BSA
- $88 National & Council fees, paid directly to BSA
- $150 Local dues paid to Pack 118 due by December 16, 2024 - covers all of 2025
- Three-month payment plan available for Oct, Nov & Dec
- $15 Scout Life magazine for 12 mos. (Optional not included in above, paid to BSA)
$238 per Existing Cub Scout
- $88 National & Council fees, paid directly to BSA
- $150 Local dues paid to Pack 118 due by December 16, 2024 - covers all of 2025
- Three-month payment plan available for Oct, Nov & Dec
- $15 Scout Life magazine for 12 mos. (Optional not included in above, paid to BSA)
*Subject to slightly vary based on BSA updates & other admin fees etc. as of 8.1.23.
Important Notes
- Effective 8.1.23, all annual BSA membership fees will paid directly to the BSA based on the month you joined. Our local unit will not collect these dues as in the past.
- Scout Life subscriptions are optional and paid directly to the BSA also.
- Local Pack dues cover most activities, supplies & awards earned from January 1 to December 31 each year.
- All local Pack dues are due on December 16, 2024 OR in 3 monthly invoices on October 16, November 16 & December 16 (emailed directly to parents & due upon receipt).
- Additional activities such as overnight camp outs, field trips, day camps and resident camps may have additional costs associated with them.
